TTD neglected common devotees: Lokesh

-Subba Reddy busy with lobbying and business
-TTD not a J-tax suitcase company

AMARAVATI: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Tuesday slammed the TTD for ‘solely focusing’ on VIPs while not giving even minimum facilities for the common devotees.

Lokesh said TTD chairman S.V. Subba Reddy should not create any distance between the God and his devotees for the sake of their lobbying and business tactics.

In a statement here, the TDP MLC asked why Subba Reddy was not responding even when three devotees were injured in the stampede in sarva darshan queue lines. The chaotic facilities were responsible for the problems in issuing tokens.

Lokesh said the TTD was not a suitcase company formed with quid pro quo money to count J-tax collections and illegal profits. Crores of devotees across the world have been coming to Tirumala to seek blessings. The TTD’s failures led to devotees being deprived of proper darshan of the God.

Nara Lokesh deplored that the commercial nature of running the TTD made the Tirumala God belonging to some select few and beyond the reach of the common devotees.
