TDP suspects Jagan plan to ‘stop’ ration rice

-CM snatching food from poor mouths: Rama Naidu
-Jagan diverting Centre’s rice to foreign countries

AMARAVATI: TDP Palakollu MLA Nimmala Rama Naidu on Tuesday demanded that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government should immediately distribute two months ration rice that was denied to the poor families of the State.

Rama Naidu accused the YSRCP regime of diverting even the poor people’s ration rice to enable the ruling party leaders to make quick money.

Addressing a press conference here, the TDP MLA accused the Chief Minister of receiving the ration rice supplied by the Centre and diverting the same to sell in foreign countries for illegal income. As a result, the poor people in AP were suffering from half-quenched hunger.

Rama Naidu warned that the poor people of Andhra Pradesh were eager to teach a strong lesson to Jagan Reddy who was hatching a conspiracy to cancel ration shops just like how he deprived the poor of affordable food at Anna Canteens. Jagan Reddy would go down in history as an unethical CM who had turned even ration rice into a source for his massive corruption.

The TDP MlA recalled how the Jagan regime did not give a single rupee assistance though the Centre gave an assistance of Rs. 1,000 during the Covid pandemic. Other States extended considerable relief from their side but not AP. Now, Jagan Reddy got ready to cancel distribution of the Centre’s ration rice to the poor people.

Rama Naidu asked why the Jagan Reddy Government was not distributing ration rice for the past two months. All other States were distributing it from 1st to 15th of every month but AP was not honouring this. Ministers were making contradictory and confusing statements. Civil supplies minister was saying ration rice became a burden on the Government.

The TDP MLA said the plan to give money in place of ration rice was an atrocious and wicked one. Jagan Reddy promised to distribute ‘Sanna Biyyam’ (fine quality rice) in the 2019 election but after coming to power, he was planning to cancel even the present quality ration rice.
