Why so much fuss on giving PRC report, asks Ashok

TDP slams employees’ leaders for going soft on Govt
Employees’ associations dragging issues
AMARAVATI: TDP MLC P. Ashok Babu advised the employees’ associations to stop dancing to the tunes of the Government and start fighting for the PRC, DA and other benefits without any further delay.
Ashok Babu accused the associations’ leaders of dragging the employees’ issues without bringing necessary pressure on the YSRCP regime. These leaders first vowed not to attend any meeting with the Government without getting a copy of the PRC. But, they broke their own vow and held discussions which could not give any solution.
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP MLC demanded the employees’ associations to explain why they had extended their deadline till month-end. Why was the Government making so much fuss without even giving a copy of the PRC report? It was clear that the Government would not change its mind even by month-end. But still the employees’ leaders were trying to mislead everyone.
Ashok babu warned that the employees would lose their patience and they would not forgive their associations if their leaders continued to behave like slaves to the YSRCP Government. A time would come when the employees would remember all the hardships they were facing now. Then, they would not forgive the YSRCP Government for all its insults and humiliations.
The TDP MLC said nobody would believe in the propaganda that the PRC report containing 500 to 600 pages was waiting to be seen by the Chief Minister. But the fact was that any CM would look at just 10 to 15 items and he would not go deep into all the pages. Items like fitment, HRA and gratuity would usually be studied by the CM before taking a final decision. The Government could release the PRC report and take time till March or April next year for holding discussions.
Ashok Babu said that if the PRC report was released, then there would be scope for holding discussions between the associations and the Government. In the TDP regime, this sort of problems never arose. By the time the TDP regime came to an end, only 2 DAs were pending and 20 percent IR was given for which a GO was issued. Chandrababu Naidu openly said the CPS issue could not be resolved since it was not in his hands.
The TDP MLC asked whether the present leaders of employees’ associations were afraid or terrified of the Jagan Reddy Government. Even in small States like Mizoram and Manipur, the employees’ unions there were fighting with their Governments for their benefits. The associations in AP would have to face the anger of the employees if they continued with their delaying tactics.
Ashok Babu deplored that the AP employees’ leaders were just making empty statements in the media and TVs. Whereas, all the problems remained unresolved. Pensions were not being given on the first of every month. Health cards were proving to be useless for both pensioners and regular employees. The woes of contract and outsourcing employees were endless.
