Govt not nabbing culprits in Radha recce case: Venkatrao
YCP leaders bearing grudge against Radha
AMARAVATI: TDP politburo member K. Kala Venkatrao on Thursday accused the ruling YSRCP of trying to incite caste conflicts to cover up its failures in the face of rising public resentment against unchecked corruption and illegalities.
Venkatrao said the police did not initiate any action even 10 days after the miscreants conducted a recce with an intention to eliminate TDP former MLA Vangaveeti Radha Krishna in Vijayawada city. The ruling YSRCP leadership was bearing a grudge against Radha for leaving their party.
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader said that the ruling party leaders were trying to take vengeance against Radha Krishna. Even though the recce was conducted on his movements 10 days ago, the suspects were roaming the streets of the city freely. On the other hand, the YCP were speaking as if they had a lot of affection for Radha.
Venkatrao demanded the Jaganmohan Reddy Government to explain to the public why it failed to nab the culprits who conspired against the former MLA’s life. The YSRCP leaders were obviously not able to digest the fact that Radha Krishna joined the Telugu Desam Party and challenged the ruling party in the elections.
The TDP leader termed it as unfortunate that the miscreants targetted and conducted recce on Radha who was a very humble and soft spoken person. The peson, who termed the Ranga murder as ‘not a wrong thing’, was forgetting the fact that he was now in a responsible position as the chairman of a corporation in the present Government.
Venkatrao said the ruling YSRCP leaders had proved they had no administrative talent by cancelling the Kapu corporation. What did the Jagan Reddy regime do with Rs. 6 Lakh crore loans brought at the expense of the AP public? The previous TDP regime gave financial assistance and sent thousands of Kapu youth to foreign countries for higher education opportunities.
The TDP leader asked the Jagan regime to explain how many students it had sent for foreign education in the past two and half years. The list of these students should be announced. The YCP Government was having no principles as it was taking credit for the students who went abroad under the socio-economic programmes.
Venkatrao said the ruling YSRCP leaders were rubbing shoulders with the persons who were openly saying that the Vangaveeti Ranga murder was good. The ruling YSRCP leaders should leave their impatience and intolerance. At least now, the ruling party leaders should give up their factionism and politics of vengeance and murders in the best interests of the AP public.
