Radha quit YCP after Jagan humiliated him: Ramanaidu
CM gave importance to Ranga killers
AMARAVATI: TDP Palacole MLA Nimmala Ramanaidu on Friday accused the Jaganmohan Reddy Government of trying to incite the Kapu sentiment in order to exploit it to return to power in the next election in AP.
Ramanaidu said CM Jagan Reddy was bent on victimising Vangaveeti Radha for his narrow political games just like how YS Rajasekhar Reddy misused the Kapu sentiment after the sensational Vangaveeti Ranga murder. The Kapu voters would no longer fall in the trap of the YS family. It was the TDP which had patronised them and addressed their problems sincerely.
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP MLA said it was like the devil quoting from the scriptures when the ruling YSRCP leaders were talking about the well being of the Kapu community after conducting a recce on Vangaveeti Radha in Vijayawada. Arava Satyam, who conducted the recce on Radha, was the floor leader of the YSRCP in the Vijayawada municipal corporation.
Ramanaidu recalled how the same Arava Satyam along with other YSRCP goons attacked and vandalised the TDP central office in Mangalagiri in which some were badly injured. Arava Satyam was now crossing his limits just because the Chief Minister lauded him for his attack on the TDP office. Eventually, Jagan Reddy would have to take all responsibility for any extreme activity resorted to by Arava Satyam.
The TDP MLA deplored that the Jagan Reddy regime has been hurting the self respect of the Kapu community right from the beginning. The Kapus were betrayed on the issue of reservations. Vangaveeti Radha had told his friends with great pain how Jagan Reddy himself hurt his pride very badly for taking part in the unveiling of Mohana Ranga statue. Radha eventually left the YSRCP unable to bear that humiliation.
Ramanaidu said that the same YSRCP leaders were now talking as if they had great respect for Radha after humiliating him so much. Moreover, the ruling YSRCP was also giving prime lands worth crores to the main accused in the Ranga murder case. Their heirs were being given good positions.
Decrying the YSRCP regime’s ‘bankrupt politics’, the TDP MLA asked why the Government was nabbing the culprits who conducted the recce on Radha. Why was the Jagan regime protecting the miscreants? Alarmingly, the ruling party leaders were now talking about the Ranga murder only to incite caste conflicts thereby to take undue political advantage.
Ramanaidu asserted that the TDP along with the Kapus and the poorer sections would fight back against the conspiracy of the YSRCP against Radha. It was only with a view to cover up failures and return to power that the YSRCP leaders conducted recce on Radha. The Kapus and all other sections were realising the ulterior motives of the ruling party.
