-Jagan rule has no respect for police sacrifices: TDP
-Dharna indicated outpouring of employees’ anguish: MLA
AMARAVATI: TDP Repalle MLA Anagani Satya Prasad on Friday said that an uncontrolled fear has gripped the YSRCP Government following the massive success of Chalo Vijayawada dharna of the employees.
Satya Prasad termed it as ‘bankrupt’ that the YSRCP regime was attributing the employees’ success to the ‘failure’ of the police. The ruling YSRCP was unabashedly blaming Chandrababu Naidu instead of realising how much injustice that it has done to the employees.
In a statement here, the TDP MLA asserted that the Government employees came to the protest dharna in huge numbers in an indication of their outpouring of anger and anguish against the YCP betrayal. How could the Government pass on the blame to the police instead of correcting its mistakes?
Satya Prasad asked whether the Jagan Reddy regime had no respect for the police who had risked their lives to save the lives of the Coronavirus patients during the height of the pandemic. The Government was spreading rumours about giving weekly off to the police but in fact, such a facility was not being implemented.
The TDP MLA recalled how the YCP regime did severe injustice by reducing the salaries of the police after making lots of promises. The police maintained utmost restraint during Thursday’s dharna programme of the employees’ associations.
Satya Prasad lauded the police for preventing any untoward incident by maintaining law and order. If there was any small lapse, there would have been serious consequences. Objecting to the Government’s policies, the TDP MLA said that the employees defied the Government restrictions and broke barricades just because the YCP regime had betrayed them in all aspects. Why did not Jagan Reddy cancel the CPS even after 700 days of his rule? He promised to annul the CPS within the first week of coming to power.
Satya Prasad asked whether it was justifiable to take back the hike that was already given in the employees’ salaries. Injustice was done in PRC and additional pension was cancelled. The sweat of Grama Sachivalaya staff was being robbed by not giving equal pay to their work.
The TDP MLA warned that if the Government did not resolve the injustice, it would suffer a humiliating blow in the hands of the employees. The black GOs should be immediately withdrawn. No Government could smoothly run the administration by giving problems to the employees.
