Credit for hiking salaries goes to TDP
AMARAVATI: TDP state president K. Atchannaidu on Friday accused the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government of betraying the people by spreading lies on welfare programmes, development and even salaries of employees.
Atchannaidu said that the YCP regime was unabashedly spreading a misinformation campaign that the salaries were hiked for anganwadi workers, home guards, midday meal and municipal workers.
In a statement here, the TDP leader said it was the previous Chandrababu regime which had hiked anganwadi salaries from Rs. 4,200 initially to Rs. 6,300 and then to Rs. 10,500. Jagan Mohan Reddy increased their salaries by just Rs. 1,000. While the TDP raised the salaries of mini anganwadi workers from Rs. 2,950 to Rs. 6,000, CM Jagan hiked just Rs. 1,000.
Atchannaidu said that the TDP regime had also increased the honorarium of home guards from Rs. 400 to Rs. 600 per day. Jagan Reddy had increased just Rs. 110 and made huge claims about this. It was the TDP regime which had increased ex gratia from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh for death of home guards while on duty.
The TDP leader slammed the YCP leaders for continuing to use falsehoods to divert the attention of the public from its failures. They were using jugglery of numbers to confuse the employees and workers. Jagan Mohan Reddy was acting beneath his level as Chief Minister to make false claims on salary hikes.
Atchannaidu strongly objected to what he described as a fake campaign on the PRC given to the Government employees. False reports were being published in the ruling party media. The previous regime overcame the bifurcation problems and gave 43 percent fitment. But, the Jagan Reddy regime has brought it down to 23 percent and HRA slabs were also reduced.
The TDP leader advised the Chief Minister to stop his false information campaigns and think of resolving the problems of employees. There was no section of society that was not harassed and targetted in the past three years. Jagan Reddy should realise his regime cannot cheat anybody forever. The courts were intervening and warning against any recoveries from salaries.
