AP people wanting Amaravati as their only Capital: Naidu

Response to Maha Padayatra showed public mood
Amaravati stir completed 700 days
AMARAVATI: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday described the huge public response to Maha Padayatra as an indication of undeniable popular support to Amaravati as the one and only Capital City of AP.
Naidu saluted the agitating farmers on the occasion of the Amaravati agitation completing 700 days. The Nyayasthanam to Devasthanam Maha Padayatra has also reached its 16th day. The YSRCP Government was continuing to create all sorts of hurdles to the padayatra at every step. He paid homage to the 189 farmers who laid down their lives while fighting for the cause of Capital City stir.
The TDP chief, in a tweet here, condemned the mindset of the present rulers as their regime was resorting to lathi charge on the people who were coming to support the padayatra. The ruling YSRCP leaders were behaving as if they had no respect for the feelings or opinion of the people. They were not hesitating to suppress the popular agitations.
Naidu asserted that the Government would not be able to suppress the wishes and aspirations of the people with their destructive tactics. The rulers might resort to any severe form of harassment but the people’s opinions would prevail eventually. Final victory would go only to the people.
The TDP chief exuded confidence that Andhra Pradesh would certainly get Amaravati as its one and only Capital. The blessings of Venkanna would always be there with the Amaravati farmers. The Telugu Desam Party would extend all the required support for this noble agitation.
