Karimnagar Police Commissioner – L. Subbarayudu
Karimnagar Police Commissioner L. Subbarayudu said that since the Telangana State Assembly Election Rules are in force, check posts are being set up at many places and vehicle checks are being conducted from time to time to prevent illegal money, liquor and other things in the district. As part of that today Inspector Ramchander Rao conducted a vehicle inspection at Karimnagar Circuit Rest House under Two Town Police Station in Karimnagar Town Division of the district.
As part of inspections WRITER SAFE GUARD Pvt. Ltd. in a vehicle (van number TS 09 UD 5198) 2,36,48,494/- rupees (two crore thirty six lakh forty eight thousand four hundred and ninety four rupees) without proper proof and possession as per election rules, immediately informed to the local returning officer and income tax department He asked them to submit the complete details related to the money to the concerned authorities .He said that he has been handed over to the District Grievance Committee constituted by the District Election Officer in the presence of the Returning Officer for further action.
So far, the amount of cash seized across the district is 2,84,67,452/- rupees (2 crore 84 lakh 67 thousand 452 rupees).
He said that all necessary steps have been taken to enforce the election rules. The Commissioner of Police specially congratulated Inspector Ramchander Rao, SI China Naik, Head Constable Srinivas, Gnaneshwar and Constable Ravinder Mallaiah for their efforts in seizing the large amount of cash.
Local Returning Officer (RDO) K. Maheshwar, ACP Town Gopati Narender, Two Town Inspector K. Ranchander Rao and other police personnel participated in this program.
