AMARAVATI: TDP State Vice President Gollapalli Surya Rao on Saturday accused the Jaganmohan Reddy Government of destroying over Rs. 2 Lakh Crores worth public assets in Andhra Pradesh with an ulterior motive to crush the overall economy and future opportunities of the State.
Surya Rao said while Chandrababu Naidu worked with a vision to develop all 13 districts in AP, Jaganmohan Reddy was implementing atrocious policies to crush all sectors out of ignorance and vengeance. The latest notice given to TDP leader Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar was nothing out of frustration on the part of the Government in the face of rising criticism over ganja and drug mafia.
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader deplored that Jagan Reddy came as a big blow at a time when the newly created AP State was going forward by making plans for the golden future of youth and women in all 13 districts. The ruling party was playing dangerous mind games with the lives of all sections of the people. The Chief Minister was playing a vicious 3 cards game with the State.
Surya Rao said that after the State Reorganisation, AP was left with limited resources and lesser opportunities. However, public assets worth over Rs. 2 Lakh Crores were developed by the time the YSRCP came to power. But now, all those people’s assets were being undermined and crushed. The State was getting destroyed and got stuck in debts while the ruling YCP leaders were becoming richer. The present rulers were only creating more problems instead of giving any solutions.
The TDP leader expressed concern that the ruling YSRCP leaders were not able to create not even one single Capital while their Chief Minister talked about 3 Capital Cities for the people. Everything became a joke. The people’s lives were being turned into a joke in AP.
The YSRCP was deliberately damaging all the prospects of AP while Chandrababu Naidu dreamt of putting the State on top in all sectors of development and growth. Every Telugu person was crying silently with her eyes full of tears.
Surya Rao asserted that it was the mafia that was ruling the State of AP as of now but not an elected Government. The ganja, heroin and drugs were freely flowing into all corners of the State. The Jagan Reddy Government was acting irresponsibly in all this. The drugs were coming into the State from Afghanistan via some ports. When this was questioned, the YCP Government and its police were harassing the TDP leaders but not taking any preventive steps.
The TDP leader said that the Chandrababu rule controlled the ganja cultivation with an iron hand. But now, countless lorry loads of ganja were reaching all parts of the State. In the past, people used to come from other States in search of work opportunities and livelihoods. Whereas, after the YCP came to power, the AP people were going to other States in search of food and work. The AP situation was so pitiable that ganja was now being supplied even in tractors and scooters.
Surya Rao advised Jagan Reddy to stop punishing people and start making plans for their development, well being and prosperity. Simply pressing buttons from Tadepalli palace would not solve the real problems of the people. The ports, airports and highways should be effectively used to increase the wealth of the State.
