KUPPAM: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday lauded the services of the NTR Memorial Trust to alleviate the suffering of the people caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Oxygen plant at Kuppam
Naidu inaugurated an oxygen plant set up by the NTR Trust at the Kuppam area hospital in Chittoor district following a call given by him. Speaking on the occasion, he recalled how
the NTR Trust has provided medicines and food to the Kuppam Covid victims during the height of pandemic infections. The oxygen plant was set up at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh.
The TDP chief said the oxygen plant was started after he gave a call for voluntarily providing Covid preventive services in addition to the help being extended by the Government. The trust has extended Covid online medical services to thousands of families with the help of American doctors. Medical treatment was provided online at the lowest cost.

Chandrababu Naidu thanked the philanthropists and donors who had voluntarily provided their support to the NTR Trust service activities. The other oxygen plants at Mahabubabad and at Tekkeli would start services soon. These plants were being set up following huge loss of human lives due to lack of oxygen supply during the Covid infections.
NTR Trust gave better services in Uttarakhand floods
Naidu said that thousands of families were getting crucial support from the NTR Trust in times of floods, disasters and natural calamities. The trust had provided better services than even the Government to the Telugu people who were caught in Uttarakhand floods. The NTR Trust has rendered yeoman services during the recent floods in Tirupati and other places. Financial assistance was also provided to the flood victims.
The TDP chief said that over 7,000 to 8,000 poor students were provided by the trust and many of them had gone abroad for higher education and jobs. The trust has also been operating three blood banks and rendering good services to the patients.
