TDP slams CM for ‘betraying’ on 2.30 lakh jobs

-Govt misleading on 60,000 vacancies: Brahmam
-Jagan owed explanation to jobless youth

AMARAVATI: TDP state executive secretary Nadendla Brahmam Chowdary on Saturday slammed the Jagan Reddy Government for making ‘contradictory statements’ on the Government job vacancies in the State.

Brahmam said that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy himself said at the time of 2019 election that there were 2.30 lakh Government job vacancies in the State. He raised expectations of the youth by promising to fill all these vacancies if he was made the Chief Minister.

Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader asked how the Jagan regime could now say in the Assembly that there were just 60,000 Government job vacancies in Andhra Pradesh. The CM was resorting to multiple betrayals as his Government had not filled 2.30 lakh jobs and also started misleading youth on the reduced number of vacancies.

Brahmam asked how the vacancies could be reduced despite the fact that not a single Government job was filled in the past three years. Telangana CM announced a massive notification for filling 90,000 jobs in that State. AP CM was using educated youth by paying meagre wages and making them do cheap works at his so-called Government liquor shops.

The TDP leader accused the CM of using the unemployed youth for expanding his liquor business. The police were being misused to arrest the agitating youth. The arrest of over 175 young protesters today was highly condemnable. The protesting youth were only demanding notifications to immediately fill all the 2.30 lakh jobs that Jagan Reddy had promised during the elections.

Brahmam said that the Chandrababu regime gave over 5.13 jobs and created scope for lakhs of jobs by attracting Rs. 15 Lakh Cr investments. If all those agreements were implemented, the AP youth would have got over 30 lakh to 40 lakh jobs directly and indirectly.

The TDP leader pointed out that AP stood in first place in employment generation under the TDP rule but the State had slipped to 7th place in just three years. Chandrababu Naidu gave unemployment allowance for the unemployed youth while Jagan Reddy had cancelled the same. Over 353 jobless youth had committed suicides ever since Jagan Reddy came to power.
