YCP MP had North Andhra in his iron grip: Venkanna
People not naive to believe Vijay Sai call for complaints
AMARAVATI: TDP MLC Buddha Venkanna on Friday accused YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy of committing land grabs and illegalities to loot public and private property in Visakhapatnam and the rest of North Andhra region by misusing power in an unprecedented manner.
Mr. Venkanna asked the YSRCP MP to explain whether the public could come forward to make complaints when he himself was on the spree of non-stop corruption. Mr. Vijay Sai Reddy was obviously cracking jokes when he urged the people to complain to him if anybody committed land grabs in North Andhra. It was like a robber alerting the people and police about robbers. All the people knew how Mr. Vijay Sai Reddy was perpetrating land settlements in the region he was talking about.
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader said that the entire North Andhra was now under the iron grip of Mr. Vijay Sai Reddy. He was known for his involvement in the CBI and ED illegal cases. Basically an auditor, the MP was charged with falsification of accounts, criminal misconduct, criminal conspiracy, cheating and so on.
Mr. Venkanna pointed out that ever since Mr. Jagan Reddy became the Chief Minister, it was Mr. Vijay Sai Reddy who was exercising full control on the North Andhra region. He was like a migratory bandit who was bringing goons and rowdies to the North Andhra region to perpetrate his heinous crimes and land grabs. Everybody in the State knew how the MP had falsified accounts of over Rs. 42,000 Cr and even spent time in jail also for these crimes.
The TDP leader said that the YSRCP leaders were not hesitating to attack and target even the media which was boldly bringing the atrocities of Mr. Vijay Sai Reddy to light. In the eyes of the ruling party, only the media which would not highlight its corruption would be seen as fair. In the ruling YSRCP media, not a single story was being written about the countless corruption allegations coming up against the leaders from the sarpanch to the Chief Minister.
Mr. Venkanna told the MP that the people of the State were not so innocent or naive any longer to believe in his call for making complaints about the corruption. The public had seen how frauds and looting were continuing in the past two and half years. The YCP Ministers were competing to use abusive language against Mr. Chandrababu Naidu and Mr. Nara Lokesh in the hope of getting an extended term.
The TDP MLC said that when Mr. Vijay Sai Reddy was talking about prevention of corruption, it was like the devils quoting from the scriptures. The TDP was ready to take part in a debate on corruption at the Jagadamba Centre if the YCP MP was ready to accept that challenge. Once the TDP Government would come back, it would make Mr. Vijay Sai Reddy to vomit all those robbed and looted public funds he swallowed under the Jagan rule.
