Telugu people should continue their fight till Bharat Ratna is awarded to Late NTR, says Chandrababu
Amaravathi, April 28: The former chief minister and TDP national president, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday gave a call to all the Telugu people living across the globe to continue their fight till Bharat Ratna is awarded to the party founder, the Late NT Rama Rao.
Releasing the books titled ‘NTR Assembly’ and ‘Historic Speeches’ in the presence of an elite gathering, including the renowned film actor, Mr Rajani Kanth, the TDP supremo said that NTR was not an individual but was a force. Mr Rajani Kanth said that NTR was his inspiration, Mr Chandrababu said adding that he is happy to organise the birth centenary of the great leader in Vijayawada, a city of which NTR was very fond of.
Stating that Mr Rajni Kanth has cancelled his fil shoot to attend this programme, Mr Chandrababu termed the noted film hero as a synonym to friendship and affection. He has come here only out of sheer affection, Mr Chnadrababu noted and said that film actors of this generation and even future generations too can not act in roles like NTR.
Recalling that the Late NT Rama Rao floated the TDP when the self-respect of the Telugus was at stake, the TDP supremo stated that overcoming all the difficulties he always executed what he wanted to. “We all should fight till NTR is awarded the Bharat Ratna and we should continue to pass resolutions till the award is announced to the late leader. We should again pass a resolution and forward it to New Delhi,” Mr Chandrababu noted.
Expressing total satisfaction at the huge turn out to the meeting, Mr Chandrababu said that when the gathering is so high for this meeting, which is the third in the series of the centenary, one can easily imagine the turn out for the next meeting at Rajahmundry. He demanded that NTR be recognised as a statue of pride and said that Mr Bala Krishna, the party MLA and film hero, is shining both in politics and in the film industry. Mr Bala Krishna is successfully running the Basavatharakam Cancer Hospital, Mr Chandrababu said.
Making it clear that efforts will be made to install a statue of Late NTR in the name of Statue of Telugu Pride, the former chief minister also said that efforts are on to set up a memorial too. “The perfect action plan will be announced on the day of Maha Nadu and Nimmakur, the native village of NTR will be made as a tourist place,” he added. Mr Chandrababu said that the TDP will strive for alleviation of poverty with the P-4 formula and this will be taken up as a movement.
