US-based transport payments and traffic solutions provider Cubic Transportation Systems to hire 150 new employees in India over the next one year

Hyderabad, Jan 30: Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS), leading integrator of Information Technology and payment systems and services for public transportation is planning to hire 150 new employees in India over the next one year. The US-based transport payments and traffic solutions provider is hiring new talent as it is eyeing on the growing India’s transportation market.

Jeffrey Lowinger, President, Cubic Transportation Systems, Galen Chui, Senior Vice President, CTS, Kishan Kamojjhala, Managing Director for India, CTS launched the new premises in Hyderabad on Monday, as the company is increasing its head count.

“India is very important market for Cubic Transportation Systems. Continued expansion in India is a key strategic objective for us. CTS first opened an office in Hyderabad in 2009 with 15 engineers. Now, Cubic’s India headquarters comprises more than 480employees, with roles spanning across technical delivery, design, development, support and testing and jobs from entry level to senior architects. Hyderabad is now a centre of engineering excellence for Cubic, making an impact on cities all over the world. As we are expanding our operations we are planning to hire 150 new employees over the next one year,” said Jeffrey Lowinger, President, Cubic Transportation Systems speaking after inaugurating the new premises in Hyderabad.

“Cubic Transportation Systems has executed several award-winning next-generation transportation payment and fare collection projects around the globe, including contact-less payment systems across all of New York City, the Transport for London network, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, and the Chicago Transit Authority. Now we are focusing even on India. As India’s passenger transport sector is growing and projects like Metro Rails being implemented even in tier-2 cities, we see a huge potential for our products and services in the country. We are taking up a fair collection and traffic solutions project in Pune, which consists of 125 intersection points, on a pilot basis,” further said Jeffrey Lowinger, explaining about CTS’s India plans.

Speaking on the occasion, Galen Chui, SVP Engineering said, “Cubic India engineering teams have come a long way in becoming an integral part of our global engineering strength. Stressing that India is home to 18% of the world’s population facing number of challenges like urban population growth, unprecedented growth of traffic, rising demand for public transport and limited transportation alternatives, Kishan Kamojjhala said that Cubic Transportation System is developing solutions to address India’s challenges.
