Amaravathi, Aug 13: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Saturday made it clear that the video involving YSRCP MP Gorantla Madhav is genuine but not morphed.
Talking to media persons here, party official spokesman, Mr Kommareddy Pattabhiram, said that the US-based Eclipse Forensic Lab in its report made it amply clear that the video is not fake. He asked what the Chief Minister, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, will tell the public.
The TDP leader questioned Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy what action he is going to take against Mr Gorantla Madhav. Releasing the US-based Eclipse Forensic Lab report to the media, Mr Pattabhiram felt that the whole world is now discussing the dirty video of Mr Gorantla Madhav.
“Though it is almost 75 years since India got independence, women in the country are still being subjected to harassment. Women in the whole State are questioning Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, who claims to have brought in legislations like Disha and some apps for women safety, is remaining silent on his own party MP issue,” Mr Pattabhiram felt.
Instead of initiating stringent action against his party MP, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy is only trying to protect him by misusing the police and the law, the TDP leader said. “Under the directions from our national president, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, we have forwarded the video to the world renowned forensic lab, the Eclipse Forensic, in Aug 9. An expert in the lab, after making a deep study of the video submitted his report in which he said that the video is authentic and not edited,,” Mr Pattabhiram revealed.
Is this report enough to take action against Mr Gorantla Madhav or will he only buy time like in the case of his other party leaders Mr Ambati Rambabu and Mr Avanti Srinivas , the TDP leader asked.
Minister Roja and advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy promised to initiate action against their MP if the video is proved genuine. He has no right to continue as MP any longer and is he not ashamed to allow erecting hoardings welcoming him back to Ananthapur, the TDP leader stated. Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy has no right to hoist the national flag on August 15 without taking action against Mr Madhav and if the YSRCP does not initiate action against him then the TDP will submit the forensic lab report to the President of India, the Union Home Minister and the Lok Sabha Speaker, he added. The TDP will also launch agitational programmes in New Delhi, he maintained.
