Agitation if Jagan fails to give 2.30 lakh jobs: Sravan
Fulfill mega DSC promise to fill 26,000 teacher jobs
AMARAVATI: TDP Telugu Yuvatha general secretary K. Naga Sravan on Saturday asserted that their party would launch another full-scale agitation if the Jaganmohan Reddy Government would not release a genuine job calendar by the end of this January.
Naga Sravan strongly criticised the Chief Minister for not fulfilling his pre-election promise of issuing a job calendar on every New Year Day. Jagan Reddy promised to fill 2.30 lakh Government jobs during his padayatra before the elections but that did not happen even on the third January 1 since he came to power.
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader demanded that the YSRCP Government release a fresh job calendar to fill the promised 2.30 lakh jobs by the end of this month. The CM should also fulfill his promise to take up a mega DSC to give 26,000 Government teacher posts to the aspiring youth. Many educated unemployed youth were eagerly waiting for these job notifications.
Naga Sravan recalled how the YSRCP leaders spread misinformation that the previous TDP regime did not fill over 17,000 teacher jobs. The Chief Minister raised great expectations among the youth at that time. But once he got power, he started turning a deaf ear to the job aspirations of the youth. Three January firsts were over but Jagan Reddy did not fill a single genuine job in the State.
The TDP leader said the CM just released a fake job calendar on June 18 last year in which just 10,143 vacancies were mentioned. Big advertisements were given in the media about a job revolution. But, the Government did not provide even these jobs in reality. The betrayal of job aspirants was continuing unabated in the State.
Naga Sravan said Home Minister Sucharita spoke of filling over 16,000 constable jobs at the rate of 4,000 jobs per year. Over 14 lakh aspirants were waiting for these opportunities. They took loans and got coaching for this. But, the Government was not taking up this recruitment.
The TDP leader said that Andhra Pradesh created lakhs of new job opportunities during the previous TDP regime while the State turned into a hub of ganja and liquor mafia gangs under the YSRCP rule. Minister Gowtham Reddy himself stated that over 10 lakh jobs were created during the TDP rule.
Naga Sravan recalled how the previous Chandrababu regime made plans for attracting over Rs. 13 lakh crore worth investments to create 34 lakh job opportunities in AP. All those plans were destroyed by the Jagan rule. Even the free reimbursement was cancelled for over 5 lakh students.
The TDP leader slammed the CM for using the police to launch lathicharge and make false arrests of the students who agitated for jobs. The move to grab lands of aided colleges was stopped only after Nara Lokesh strongly protested against it in Anantapur.
