CID should question APSFL ED: TDP

Sunil Kumar dancing to the tunes of Tadepalli palace: Pattabhi
Why was Gowri Shankar made APSFL ED?
AMARAVATI: TDP National Official Spokesman K. Pattabhi Ram on Wednesday accused the AP CID of adopting a biased approach by not holding a transparent probe into the fibernet project case.
Mr. Pattabhi said that the CID was finding fault with the experience certificate submitted by the Signum Digital Network to the Terasoft firm in the fibernet project. But it was a fact that K. Gowri Shankar was with Signum in the past. But now, the same Gowri Shankar was appointed by the Jaganmohan Reddy Government as the Executive Director of the AP State Fibernet Ltd (APSFL).
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP asked why the CID was not probing into the reasons for the YCP regime to put Mr. Gowri Shankar in a key post. The same person was levelling objectionable allegations. By not probing such suspicious angles, the CID had once again proved that it had no credibility or values. CID chief Sunil Kumar was just dancing to the tunes of the Tadepalli palace.
Mr. Pattabhi said that the CID filed cases against 18 persons in the fibernet project case as part of its ongoing investigation. Three of these accused persons were Vemuri Hari Prasad, K. Sambasiva Rao and Gopi Chand, who were called for questioning. But, Mr. Gowri Shankar was named in the list of the accused, which only exposed the huge conspiracy. Everybody knew these were baseless allegations. All this was part of a grand scheme to shelve a prestigious project that would give great services to the people.
The TDP leader asserted that the credit would go to the previous TDP Government for saving Rs. 3,700 Cr in the fibernet project. The project cost was Rs. 4,000 Cr but it was carried out at just Rs. 330 Cr by following innovative ideas. Mr. Gowri Shankar also knew about all this but some forces were just influencing him to make unfounded allegations. If the CID was sincere, it should unearth the invisible dark forces in the conspiracy to sabotage the fibernet project.
Mr. Pattabhi said that in the FIR, it was mentioned that hundreds of crores of corruption took place in the fibernet project. But the CID missed the point that the TDP regime avoided the underground cable for 24,000 kms since it would have cost Rs. 4,000 Cr. The Chandrababu regime completed the overground cable by spending just Rs. 330 Cr on the project. This was nowhere in the country. The TDP rule gave three types of fibernet services through current poles but the Jagan regime was giving electric shocks through his current bills.
