AMARAVATI: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday asked whether Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy had no moral responsibility to clarify to the people on the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder.
Naidu termed it as deplorable that the Chief Minister was extending all the required support and patronage for the killers of his own paternal uncle. The accused persons were trying to threaten and intimidate the CBI officers who were presently investigating the case.
Addressing a meeting of sarpanches here, the TDP chief recalled how they tried to stain the TDP image with the blood of slain Vivekananda Reddy. But now, the truth had come out after the CBI took up an in-depth investigation following a court petition filed by Viveka’s daughter and Jagan Reddy’s sister Sunitha Reddy.
Naidu said that YCP MP Avinash Reddy’s name clearly surfaced in the CBI probe. The local CI was informed about Viveka’s death over the phone. He was told that it was a fatal heart attack. When he came to the spot along with three constables, they were not allowed to go inside. Only the CI was allowed to take a look at the body. The CI was asked to shut his mouth when he questioned how it could be a heart attack when there was so much blood.
Chandrababu Naidu reminded the CM of his responsibility to place the facts before the public. The CBI probe ascertained that persons came from the hospital of Jagan Reddy’s wife Bharati Reddy’s father and they stitched bleeding wounds on Viveka body unauthorisedly. Later, brightly coloured flowers were sprinkled to hide the blood stains inside Viveka house.
The TDP chief accused CM Jagan Reddy of perpetrating ‘murder politics’ in order to terrify and silence all sections of people. The YCP regime stooped to the level of starting character assassination against even Vivekananda Reddy who was brutally killed three years ago. They were launching counter attacks to bury the truth surrounding the Viveka murder.
Naidu recalled how he was first accused of killing Vivekananda Reddy. Sakshi published stories with headlines like ‘Narasura Rakta Charitra’ (Nara family’s blood stained history). Later, they named B.Tech Ravi and Adinarayana Reddy as the murder accused. Now they started accusing Vivekananda Reddy’s family members of eliminating him.
Condemning the YCP’s ‘dangerous political games’, Naidu said it was Sakshi which sought to portray the Viveka murder as a death due to heart attack. It eventually turned out to be an axe attack that killed Viveka. Only CM Jagan Reddy would be capable of spreading such lies and untruths in his media. No Chief Minister ever behaved like this anywhere in the country in recent history.
Chandrababu Naidu said Jagan Reddy demanded CBI inquiry in the presence of both his sisters. After coming to power, he decided there was no need for the CBI probe. While one sister got CBI probe ordered into the Viveka murder, another sister, who projected herself as ‘Jagananna arrow’, now missed her targetted path.
The TDP chief said the YCP tried to terrify and stifle his voice in the Assembly despite his long track record as a former CM for 14 years and his career in national politics. Terrorists blasted 24 claymore mines but that did not deter him from rendering public service. Dr Sudhakar was persecuted till his death. Nandyal’s Abdul Salaam was terrorised so much that he committed suicide on the railway track along with his wife and two children.
