-YCP defeat a must for AP’s bright future
-TDP chief to take part in Badude Badudu protests
-No funds except a few posts to weaker sections
AMARAVATI: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday asserted that there was a ‘historic necessity’ to bring the Telugu Desam Party back to power in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu said if the State had to survive the destruction and all round crisis, the TDP should come to power. The ruling YSRCP had crushed the common people in the name of a false campaign on social justice.
Addressing a party review meeting on ‘Badude Badudu’ statewide protests, the TDP chief reiterated that the YSRCP should be defeated if the AP people would have to regain their bright future. The ruling party had destroyed all sections of the society with its chaotic policies.
Naidu said the TDP victory in the next elections would not be the concern of just the party but the entire State. The party cadres should shoulder this responsibility. There was a greater need to inform the public about the increased taxes, current charges and burdens placed by the Government.
Chandrababu Naidu said he would take part in the Badude Badudu protests. The Jagan Reddy policies were solely responsible for the present power cuts and increased current charges. This should be explained to the public clearly. Lakhs of workers would lose jobs if the power holiday would continue for the industries.
The TDP chief said the Jagan Government had snatched Rs. 16,000 Cr from the public by increasing current charges for over 7 times. The garbage tax and hike in property tax were imposing additional burdens. The people would be financially crushed with the collection of 15 percent of registration value as property tax.
Naidu expressed doubt whether Jagan Mohan Reddy would declare AP as a bankrupt State along the lines of Sri Lanka. No funds were being given to the weaker sections but the YCP was boasting of giving a few posts to them.
The TDP leaders, who spoke, said the AP people were of the impression now that a mistake was made in the 2019 elections. There has been very good response to the Badude Badudu protests from the public. All sections of people have now realised the importance of the TDP role in the State’s overall development and progress.
Some leaders said that the people were indeed vexed with the YCP rule and that they were waiting with a vengeance to throw out the Jagan regime.
