AMARAVATI: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday slammed the ruling YSRCP for their non-stop use of ‘goons and gangsters’ to suppress the voice of the opposition TDP cadres across the State.
Naidu warned that their party would pay back with multiple rates of interest to all the attacks and atrocities being perpetrated by the YCP regime. In the latest attack, the ruling YSRCP goondas kidnapped and thrashed iTDP activist Murali belonging to Mulakalapalli in Kuppam mandal.
In a statement here, the TDP chief demanded that the police should arrest the culprits responsible for the attack on the TDP activist immediately. If anything would happen to the life of Murali, the Jaganmohan Reddy Government would have to take the responsibility.
Naidu expressed concern that the YSRCP leaders were using miscreants and goons to threaten all those who were raising their voices against the misdeeds and failures of the present rulers. The YSRCP regime has failed to meet the expectations of the people on all fronts.
The TDP chief asserted that their party would stand like a pillar of support for Murali. Alarmingly, RESCO chairman Senthil and his followers were creating havoc in Kuppam because of the support being given by the Chief Minister. As days were passing by, the YSRCP leaders’ unlawful activities were crossing all tolerable limits.
Chandrababu Naidu said every citizen in a democracy would have a right to question the wrong policies of the Government. Everybody had a fundamental right to protest in any country that was following democracy. The Indian constitution has ensured freedom of expression. But the YSRCP regime was harassing everyone by filing false cases whenever they would raise their voices.
The TDP chief said the ruling YCP leaders should realise that they would not be able to terrify people with their attacks and intimidation tactics. Almost all sections of society were ready to revolt against the atrocious policies of the YCP Government that were destroying all sectors in the State.
