No action against vandals of NTR statues: MLA
Jagan removed NTR name for 16 Govt programmes
AMARAVATI: TDP MLA Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swami on Saturday asserted that the ruling YSRCP Ministers and leaders had no moral right to talk about the legacy and honour of NTR.
Swami said every admirer has been seething with anger and anguish over how the Jaganmohan Reddy Government has insulted the NTR memory in the past three years of its suppressive regime. It was high time that the YSRCP should stop its cheap politics for the sake of votes.
In a statement here, the TDP MLA asserted that the YSRCP Government was making claims on giving respect to NTR. The fact was that it was NTR who brought self-respect to the Telugu race as a whole all over the world. The ruling party leaders should stop their daylight dramas.
Swami termed it as shameful on the part of the YSRCP to derive political mileage by giving NTR’s name to a half of Krishna district. The YCP leaders’ plans to woo voters in the name of NTR would not bear fruit in the coming elections. NTR Anna Canteens were cancelled. NTR colonies were renamed as Jagananna colonies, which was a big insult to the great leader.
The TDP MLA asked why the Jagan regime removed NTR name for over 16 types of programmes like NTR Sujala Sravanti. The NTR Memorial started by the TDP regime was stopped at Neerukonda. YSR removed NTR name for the domestic terminal of Shamshabad international airport.
Swami said after the YSRCP came to power, many NTR statues were set on fire across the State. Not even one YCP activist was suspended for demolishing NTR statues? Why did the YSRCP leaders pass needless remarks on NTR’s daughter in the Assembly when they had real respect?
The TDP MLA asserted that the people would forever respect NTR despite the vicious plans of the YCP to mar his memory. Only Chandrababu Naidu would be able to keep up the ideals and prestige of NTR. Every TDP activist was remembering how the YCP leaders humiliated the NTR family members.
