YCP gangs ripping apart North Andhra: Lokesh

Attack on Pendurti employees condemnable
YCP goons attacking and injuring employees
Vijaya Sai abetting land grabs, gang violence

AMARAVATI: TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday held YSRCP MP Vijaya Sai Reddy responsible for the unchecked land grabs and gang violence in Visakhapatnam and other parts of North Andhra.

Lokesh said the Jagan Reddy gangs were wreaking havoc all through otherwise peaceful North Andhra districts. The latest in a series of incidents was the local YCP leaders’ attack on the revenue employees of Sattivanipalem village in Pendurti mandal of Vizag district.

In a statement here, Lokesh said that YSRCP local leader Doddi Kiran encroached some land in the village and attacked the revenue staff when they came to remove the encroachment. The beating up of revenue staff at Sattivanipalem was highly condemnable. The authorities should take action against the guilty.

Nara Lokesh deplored that the YSRCP goons were behaving as if they had got a patent right on encroachments under their leader Jagan Reddy rule. Even the village level leaders were resorting to land grabs and assaults on the government employees. Their wrongdoings were crossing all limits as some of them were even making physical attacks on the employees.

Lokesh demanded that YCP leader Doddi Kiran and his followers should be arrested immediately for their physical attacks on the employees. The Government should provide necessary protection to the on-duty employees.

The TDP MLC paid rich tributes to noted Dalit writer Yendluri Sudhakar whose death would remain a huge loss for the Telugu language and literature. Prof. Sudhakar created the much needed awareness among the weaker sections with his thought-provoking writings. Lokesh conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.
