Hyderabad IT raids exposed Kodali Nani: ex Minister
AP Ministers flourishing, AP people suffering

AMARAVATI: TDP former minister Gollapalli Surya Rao on Thursday termed it as a matter of great concern that the income tax raids in other States were exposing the illegal assets being amassed by the Ministers in the Jaganmohan Reddy Cabinet in AP.

Surya Rao said wherever the IT raids were unearthing hundreds of crores of unaccounted money in the country, the involvement of the AP Ministers was coming to light. The latest IT raids in Hyderabad led to seizure of hundreds of crores reportedly belonging to AP Minister Kodali Nani.

Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader said the ruling YSRCP Ministers were making hundreds of crores of corruption money through their benamis and henchmen. Recently, one AP Minister’s illegal money came to the fore in Chennai. Now, Kodali Nani got exposed in Hyderabad raids. All these Ministers were only amassing this illegal wealth by way of indiscriminate exploitation of all the natural resources in AP.

Surya Rao deplored that the sand, liquor and other mafia gangs were making huge corruption money. The plundered wealth of Andhra Pradesh was being taken to other

States and other countries. While the AP Ministers were flourishing and prospering with illegal income, the AP people were suffering and collapsing in all respects.

The TDP leader said that the people were suffering due to losses in agriculture, businesses and decreased incomes. The Government was not even making payments to the farmers towards the procured crops. The civil supplies minister was not at all coming to the rescue of the aggrieved farmers. Nobody was taking responsibility to resolve the problems of the people.

Surya Rao criticised that Kodali Nani had lived up to the expectations that he was a Minister for abusive language but not one for civil supplies. The foul-mouthed Ministers made it a habit to terrify and demoralise all others with their threats and abuses. The general public were not being allowed to raise their voice on any grievance.

The TDP leader said that it was amply proved now that the AP Minister had made hundreds of crores of secret investments in the real estate company based in Hyderabad. This company was involved in developing over 110 acres of land in Shamirpet on the outskirts of the Telangana Capital. The ruling YSRCP owed an explanation to the AP people on this.

Surya Rao pointed out how all sections of people in AP were suffering on account of financial problems and absence of work opportunities. On the other hand, the AP Ministers were enjoying themselves with illegal money, luxuries and entertainment. They were not bothered at all about the financial problems of the people.
