AMARAVATI: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday accused Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of winning the 2019 general election by carrying out a false information campaign against the then TDP Government.
Naidu said the YSRCP used the ‘PayTM’ batches to spread a vicious campaign against the TDP at that time. It was only by telling lies and spreading false propaganda that Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister.
Addressing the iTDP meeting at the party central office here, the TDP chief called upon the party social media activists and coordinators to play an effective role in countering the YSRCP misinformation campaigns this time. Lakhs of iTDP members should actively expose the untruths and failures of the Jagan Reddy regime among the people so that the YCP would meet with certain defeat in the next election.
Naidu recalled that the YSRCP main media and social media gangs initially propagated the death of YS Vivekananda Reddy as a natural death due to heart attack. The brutal manner in which CM Jagan’s babai was murdered was never seen before in any movie as well. Now, without any shame, they were targetting even the CBI officials for cracking the murder mystery.
Chandrababu Naidu demanded the YCP leaders to explain whether or not they made false allegations and spread falsehoods against the TDP after the Vivekananda Reddy murder during the 2019 election. Who scripted the real Raktha Charitra by giving Rs. 40 Cr supari? Why didn’t the blue media show the final verdict of the High Court on Amaravati Capital?
The TDP chief said the CM and his partymen were wrong in blocking the Amaravati news in their party media. The social media had reached this information to all sections of the
people in no time. Nobody could block the news from reaching the people. The power of social media was growing rapidly and the iTDP members should throw light on each and every problem of the common public.
Naidu called upon the iTDP activists not to be afraid of the false cases being filed by the ruling YSRCP Government. They should be ready to confront the ruling party whenever the elections are announced. All the false cases would be lifted immediately after coming to power.
Chandrababu Naidu said the present political conditions were very favourable for the TDP to increase its membership and awareness campaigns. In just three years, the Jagan Reddy regime has become thoroughly defamed because of the ‘babai murder case’ and destruction of Amaravati and Polavaram projects. The NGOs, farmers, construction workers, students, women and unemployed youth were all very unhappy.
The TDP chief said all sections of people were feeling betrayed and cheated by the Chief Minister. A positive campaign by the TDP on public issues would be very effective now. Awareness campaigns were nothing wrong as the TDP activists were not getting involved in any crimes like the YSRCP top leaders.
